He attended the Chicago Art Institute and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1971. He was a commercial Interior Designer for Wasserstrom and sons until 1985. He then worked for HTI as an audiologist until retirement in 2018.

He was a member of Overbrook Presbyterian church. He was a member of the Ottawa County Genealogical Society. He was very artistic and loved anything related to history.

He was preceded in death by his father Ernest William Lisk, mother Eleanor Virginia (Douglas) Lisk, and brother Robert Lisk.

He is survived by his wife Alice and twin sister Diane Lisk; his children, sons Brian and Timothy Lisk, daughters Lisa (Lisk) Ross and Catherine (Lisk) Badillo. He has 12 grandchildren , two great grandsons and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
