Michael Curtis Harris, 67, died Oct. 4, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born in Lima on July 11, 1945, to Jack A. and Lucille E. Ambos Harris, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 14, 1970, he married Judi M. Gass, who survives in Lima.

Mr. Harris was a graduate of Lima Senior High School, where he was on the gymnastics and diving teams. He loved playing pool, golf and loved cheering on The Ohio State University Buckeyes. He retired from Mabsco Cash Register and was a ceteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370.

Survivors also include two daughters, Dawnn R. Harris, of Delphos, and Nicole L. Harris, of Lima; three grandchildren, Damon M. McClain, of Lima, Jasmyne N. Hensley, of Coldwater, Mich., and Jay Michael Harris, of Lima; and two brothers, Val John (Joyce K.) Harris, of Bluffton, and Douglas C. (Judi) Harris, of Lima.

Services will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. Pastor Mark Burden will officiate. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
