In Memory

Inara Biezais (Febus)

ELIDA — Inara Biezais Febus, 74 of Elida, passed away peacefully in her home on May 15, 2021, after a two year battle with ALS, with her husband of 56 years by her side.

Inara was born July 22, 1946 in Wurzburg, Germany to Latvian parents, Janis Biezais and Nina (Jaunakais) Morley, in a displaced persons camp during WWII; her parents preceded her in death.

When Inara was three years old, she arrived in the United States and had a wonderful childhood living in the same home with all her cousins.

She graduated from Lima Senior High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Education from The Ohio State University, graduating cum laude.

Inara taught at Apollo, was an aerobics instructor and enjoyed volunteering at her children's schools.

She was exceptional at tennis and golf and enjoyed life with her family at Indian Lake where she built the best fires and especially enjoyed boating.

Most of all, Inara enjoyed spending time with her family; she loved attending all her grandchildren's activities.

She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Inara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Denny Febus of Elida, OH; children, Gina (Doyle Green) Clark of Fredericksburg, VA, Brett Febus of Dublin, OH and Jeff (Corinne) Febus of Hilliard, OH; beloved grandchildren, Tyler Clark, Cassandra Clark, Emily Santille, Olivia Febus, Brandon Febus, Morgan Febus and Leah Febus; her first great-grandchild, Blake Santille and her sister, Alda Biezais Liddle.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Guna Biezais.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The ALS Central and Southern Ohio Chapter, 1170 Old Henderson Rd., Suite 221, Columbus, OH 43220.
