Brian Cook Obituary

 

LIMA -- Brian Curtis Cook, 78 of Lima, passed away peacefully December 5, 2023, at home with his loving family by his side.

Brian was born September 2, 1945 in Lima to Lloyd and Thelma (Swartz) Cook, who preceded him in death.

On January 30, 1965, he married the love of his life, Linda (Mull) Cook, who survives him in Lima.

Brian was a 1964 graduate of Lima Senior High School and he worked in the warehouse at Scot Lad / Roundy's for 30 years until his retirement in 2001. Brian then went on to work part time at Allen County Engineers from 2007 to 2023. He was a member of both Indian Lake and Lima Moose Lodges and Eagles Aeries and he was an avid pool player. Brian loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and going to Sturgis, SD just about every year. He loved camping with his family and he was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. Most of all, Brian enjoyed spending time with those close to him and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his children, Mark A. (Tammie Joseph) Cook and Tami D. Smith; grandsons, Troy, Trent and Treg; brothers, Lee (Lynell) Cook and Ty (Carole) Cook and several loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Fredrick "Fred" Cook.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel with Nick Truesdale to officiate the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
